Le Touquet holiday let FAQ: renting at Villa Mon Étoile

The answers below reflect what our holiday rental agreement actually says. If your question isn't covered, Charles, the owner, will answer you himself via the contact page.

Booking and payment

You can book Hélios or Cassiopée directly on our booking page, where availability is shown live. Both flats are also listed on Airbnb and Gens de Confiance. Booking direct gets you the best price (cheaper than Airbnb), plus early check-in and late check-out free of charge, subject to availability.

For a direct booking, we send you a holiday rental agreement to sign and return. The full amount of the stay is paid with the signed agreement, by bank transfer (for Cassiopée, a cheque is also accepted). A €1,000 security deposit by cheque is sent before arrival; it is returned after the check-out inventory, minus any damage, with supporting documents.

A direct booking is firm: under the agreement, the amount paid is a deposit and the commitment is final, so if you cancel, the full amount of the stay remains due. We therefore recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance. On Airbnb, the cancellation policy shown on the listing applies.

Arrival and departure

• Check-in: from 3 pm (for Hélios, between 3 pm and 6:30 pm), with key handover and a tour of the flat.
• Check-out: by 11 am at the latest, after the check-out inventory and key return.
• Direct bookings: early check-in and late check-out offered, depending on other guests' bookings.

In the flat

Hélios (first floor) and Cassiopée (second floor) are 55 m² each and have been fully renovated. Each has a main bedroom with a 160 × 200 cm bed, a children's room with two 90 × 200 cm beds that can be pushed together, a bathroom with bath and washing machine, a fitted kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso and more) and a terrace with barbecue. Fibre wifi at 8 Gb/s is free.

Bed linen and towels are provided and end-of-stay cleaning is taken care of (€50 cleaning and linen fee). For little ones there's a high chair, travel cot, baby bath, toys, books and child-friendly tableware: see also Le Touquet with a baby.

House rules

• Maximum 4 people per flat, plus 1 baby; 8 people if you rent both together.
• No parties. Sound carries in the house: quiet hours from 10 pm to 9 am.
• No subletting: the flat is rented for your own personal use.
• Consumables you use up (coffee, sugar, washing-up liquid, toilet roll and so on) should be replaced in line with what you used.
• Please report any incident within 12 hours.

Prices and taxes

Nights start from €140, with a 2-night minimum. On top of that comes the €50 cleaning and linen fee per stay. According to our agreement, the price covers end-of-stay cleaning, bed linen and towels, check-in and check-out, utilities. Seasonal rates are set out on our rental prices page.

Charles's tip: travelling as two families? Book Hélios and Cassiopée for the same dates and you have the villa for 8, with two kitchens and two bathrooms.
