Le TouquetAn elegant, natural and family-friendly resort

Between coastline and forest, Le Touquet-Paris-Plage offers a privileged setting for your holidays, all year round.

The origins of Le Touquet

1837

Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Daloz bought a 1,600-hectare estate and planted 800 hectares of maritime pines, poplars and alders. He had a fine building erected, Le Château, a kind of hunting lodge. In 1874, a friend suggested the idea of a seaside resort named "Paris-Plage": none other than Hippolyte de Villemessant, founding editor-in-chief of Le Figaro. Le Touquet-Paris-Plage was born.

A protected natural area

If Le Touquet could be summed up in one place, it would be its beach: a natural gem of 11 km of fine sand stretching as far as the eye can see, linking the Canche Bay to the north and Stella-Plage to the south. The Canche Bay national nature reserve (505 hectares) is a prime spot to observe wildlife — birds, seals and more.

A sporting resort

Sand yachting, kitesurfing, surfing, paddle, wakeboarding, segway, windsurfing, golf, horse riding, yoga, tennis… the sports on offer at Le Touquet are endless. Summer or winter, with family or friends, you will make the most of the resort's facilities.
