February 2027 holiday dates

February half-term in England usually falls in mid-February, but dates vary by local authority, so check your school calendar. In France, winter holidays are staggered over a whole month, from early February to early March, and Belgian families add two more holiday periods. Le Touquet therefore welcomes families for around five weeks: here are the dates to compare before you book.

The Enduropale, just before half-term

At the end of January, Le Touquet beach hosts the Enduropale, the motorbike and quad race on sand that draws huge crowds every year. The 51st edition is scheduled for 29 to 31 January 2027, a week before the first French school holidays. It is the busiest weekend of the winter: if you want to watch, book months ahead and read our page on renting for the Enduropale. If you are after peace and quiet, avoid that weekend and come in February.

Why Le Touquet in February

February on the Opal Coast means an almost empty beach, big low tides, wind for the sand yachts and winter sunsets over the Channel. The forest is good for cycling, rue Saint-Jean stays lively and restaurants are open all year. In late February, the Winter Jazz Festival (23 to 28 February 2027) gives you another reason to visit. For a feel of the season, read our guide to Le Touquet in winter, and check the events calendar for up-to-date dates.

Booking for February: our advice

  • Spot the overlapping weeks: from 13 to 22 February, French zones A and C are both on holiday; from 22 February to 1 March, zones A and B plus French-speaking Belgium. Those are the busiest weeks.
  • Aim for single-zone weeks: the first week of zone C or the last week of zone B are often easier.
  • Stay flexible: our two flats are let separately from 2 nights, so check both live calendars on our booking page.
  • Do not wait too long: many families book their February break in the autumn.

Prices depend on your dates: from €140 a night, plus a €50 cleaning and linen fee per stay, sheets and towels included. Booking direct costs less than on Airbnb, and early check-in or late check-out is offered whenever the schedule allows. Otherwise, check-in is from 3 pm and check-out by 11 am.

A warm, practical base for winter

After a windy afternoon on the beach, a proper flat makes all the difference: 55 m², newly renovated, two bedrooms (a 160 cm bed and two singles), a bathroom with a bath, a washing machine and an airer for drying clothes, and a fully equipped kitchen for cosy evenings in. Fibre wifi at 8 Gb/s means you can work for a day or two if your break runs into the week. Babies have a high chair, travel cot and baby bath.

Each flat sleeps 4 plus a baby; book Hélios and Cassiopée together and you have 8 beds in 4 bedrooms for two families travelling at the same time.

Charles's tip: bring wellies for the children in February. At low tide, Le Touquet beach turns into a vast playground of pools and sandbanks, and everyone gets back to the flat with dry feet.
